Code of Practice National Landlords Association (NLA) We are members of the National Landlords association and as such we conform to their code of practice, a copy of which can be supplied on request or found on the NLA website: www.landlords.org.uk. The tenancy agreement that we use is produced by the NLA NLA Tenant Check Selective Group uses an independent reference service with the NLA. Application forms received by prospective tenants will be that of NLA Tenant Check. Full details of NLA Tenant Check can be supplied on request or found at www.nlatenantcheck.org.uk Deposit scheme Under legislation that came into effect on 6th April 2007, all landlords taking deposits on assured short hold tenancies must join a government-authorised tenancy deposit scheme. Selective Group is a member of the insurance-based tenancy deposit protection scheme with ‘MyDeposits’. Deposits are held by us and are lodged with and protected by the scheme within 14 days of being received. A certificate is issued to both landlord and tenant.
